Job Description:

School Psychologist for the 2024/2025 School Year
Part-time position (.6 FTE):  to be based at Ventana Vista Elementary and Orange Grove Middle School

Valid Arizona "School Psychologist" certificate from the Arizona Department of Education to practice as a School Psychologist

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Educational Psychology required; Education Specialist or Doctoral degree preferred
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s license and clear driving record
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education & Experience:
    • Master’s degree in Psychology or Educational Psychology required; Education Specialist or Doctoral degree preferred
    • Valid Arizona School Psychologist certificate from the Arizona Department of Education to practice as a School Psychologist
    • Valid Arizona Driver’s license and clear driving record
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification
    • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of school psychology
    • Must be able to interpret laws, policies, and guidelines relating to school psychology
    • Requires the ability to work with teachers, parents, coaches, sponsors, and students in a variety of situations and work effectively in a team-oriented school
    • Superior oral and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work cooperatively, effectively, and respectfully with staff, parents, and students from diverse backgrounds
     Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Outlook/Gmail, PowerPoint & Word, and specialized IEP software
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred

Under the administrative direction of the Director of Student Services, performs work of considerable difficulty developing psychological assessments of students and developing and implementing intervention and treatment plans.
