School Bus Driver

CDL NOT REQUIRED!

CDL Training provided by TUSD for this position

Summary:

As a School Bus Driver, you'll ensure the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, athletic events, field trips, and other TUSD activities. With over 250 square miles of coverage and 85+ sites, TUSD is the largest school district in Southern Arizona, making your role essential to our operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Five (5) years of previous driving experience
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license
• MVReport showing no more than allowable points
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)

Responsibilities:

• Operate school bus
• Conduct pre-trip inspections
• Enforce safety regulations and policies
• Use two-way radio for communication
• Manage student discipline on the bus

Additional Details:

• Pay Start: $15.45/hour, increasing to $18.98/hour post-training with CDL and endorsement.
• Provide safe transportation for over 20,000 TUSD students.
• Largest school district in southern Arizona with a fleet of over 300 buses and 1,250 bus routes.
