Procurement Specialist #8310

SUMMARY
Procures materials, equipment and professional service to meet District needs and in accordance with District and regulatory agency standards and policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years buying/procurement experience, preferably in the public sector.
• One year large volume buying/procurement experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of competitive procurement, procurement thresholds, and competitive purchasing.
• Knowledge of and experience with inventory control and supply chain procedures.
• Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with automated purchasing/warehouse systems.
• 
  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  FBI fingerprint background check.
  Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS:

Pay Range$22.85 to $26.52/hour
Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: 1010 E 10th Street, Building B
Classification: Supervisory/Professional (CWA)

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
