• Special Education Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for Special Education Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

• Arizona Special Education Certificate - Hearing Impaired
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
• ASL (American Sign Language)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS:

• Pay Range$50,400 to $57,900/year
• Special Education Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing / 3 Vacancies

• Location: Site - 3 positions locations available - discussed at interview
• FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Special Education Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

New Teachers to the District may be eligible for a one-time recruitment stipend (up to $5,000) if hired into one of the following positions: Ex Ed, Math, Science.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
