Job Description:

As the Payroll / Accounting Associate, you help ensure students have access to high quality education they need to learn in a safe and healthy environment by providing direction to the overall fiscal affairs of the district. You will also have the opportunity to provide and grow in a leadership role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for payroll according to USFR and State guidelines ensuring processes are adhered.
Performs electronic payroll processing on the formerly known as Infinite Visions (Now School ERP Pro) system in
conjunction with the Maricopa County School Superintendents Office utilizing district software.
Enter all contracts, pay schedules and calendars into the payroll system.
Performs electronic processing of the time/attendance on the Time Clock Plus (TPC) system.
Responsible to ensure that all source documents and payroll procedures are completed in a timely manner.
Works with personnel to ensure that new employee information packets are completed.
Processes employee payroll deductions for TSA’s, dependent insurance, NEA/AEA dues, Credit Union, etc. and as
allowed by District policy and makes biweekly deposits to each appropriate bank account.
Maintain accurate banking records for all related bank accounts.
Sets up employee payroll folders and maintains appropriate information. Performs data entry on new employees.
Review of timecard plus for absences, tardiness, and verifies docks for upcoming payroll; maintain all attendance
records and process AESOP.
Assist district staff to ensure the processing and reporting of the Alternative Contribution Rate (ACR) is completed
accurately and timely.
Ensures that electronic tax deposits are timely processed and assists with completing federal and state quarterly
tax reports. Also assists with the review and distribution of W2 information at year-end.
Completes wage information forms from other agencies such as from Mortgage Companies, DES, AHCCS, Social
Security, rental firms, and retirement systems, etc.
Maintains current knowledge of legal and business practices by attending meetings and memberships in related
organizations.
Assist with journal entries/requisitions & maintain fiscal and financial related records and files in accordance with
policies.
Provide transparent updates to Human Resources Director & Executive Director Business Services on various
tasks to ensure accurate information is maintained.
Performs other duties when needed in the office such as phone answering, filing documentation, preparing
outgoing mail, greeting the public, and miscellaneous supply ordering and reconciliations.
Participate in professional development and continuous enhancement of roles and responsibilities.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director Business Services.
