Job Description:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs journey-level work with a primary focus on the maintenance and repair of plumbing, and to a lesser degree, on electrical systems and general maintenance of district buildings and facilities.
Hiring Pay Range: $23.20 - $24.63 per hour, DOE
Summer hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm (30 minute unpaid meal break)
Winter hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (30 minute unpaid meal break)
40 hours per week, 12 months per year, 261 work days
Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; five (5) years of journey level trades maintenance experience in electrical and plumbing fields (Tech II); minimum experience in general maintenance specifically plumbing fields or combination of experience & education (Tech I); basic computer related skills, including familiarity with MS Word and MS Excel; willingness to obtain certifications upon specified schedule; knowledge of the SchoolDude Work Order System is preferred, but not required.
Special Requirements: Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level 1 – IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety; valid Arizona driver’s license with ability to drive manual shift vehicle, and clear driving record.
