Job Description:

BASIS Ed Central Office Scottsdale is seeking qualified candidates for a Financial Analyst!

The role of the Financial Analyst is to develop financial models and provide analysis to stakeholders. Perform financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow modeling, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis on a diverse range of projects. Recommend process efficiencies and give guidance to the accounting staff. Responsible for providing process improvement research and implementation for the growing finance unit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Generate reports from financial database and use Microsoft Excel for further analysis
  • Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes
  • Prepare and analyze budget variance reports
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare financial performance data for regulatory agencies
  • Develop improved automated reporting, reporting methods, and distribution
  • Provide ad-hoc projects and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business field
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role at a Charter School Network is preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office – must have strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions. Knowledge of SharePoint and accounting general ledgers is a nice to have.
