Arizona’s first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a District Registrar for student enrollment and maintaining student records in the new state-of-the-art autism center.
Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Compliance and Strategic Initiatives; the Registrar will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records, processing enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals, while ensuring compliance with the Arizona Department of Education and the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools.
Candidates must be experienced in the PowerSchool and student attendance in a K-12 setting. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and must be able to work independently in the performance of all functions necessary to maintain an efficient and organized office in a professional and confidential manner.
Duties:
Enrollment Process and Student Files
- Process Enrollment Interest Forms
- Invite students to screenings
- Schedule staff to facilitate screenings
- Invite students to enroll as directed
- Manage dissemination of Registration Packets and Re-Enrollment Intent Forms
- Create, manage, and update files as needed
- Assist with audits as needed, including attendance records, current student and withdrawn student records as needed.
- Work with school Directors to ensure Chronic Illness forms are current and documented in cum files and in PowerSchool
- Prepare transcripts for high school students
- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance, storage, and destruction of student records.
- Request and review transcripts of new students from previously attended schools. Post transcript data in PowerSchool
Student Reporting ·
- Oversee and when necessary input student attendance in PowerSchool
- Enter and withdraw students in PowerSchool
- Run reports in PowerSchool as requested
- Keep fields accurate in PowerSchool such as media release
- Provide student data reports to the AZACS accounting team and correct integrity reports as directed
- Serve as gatekeeper and maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records
- Maintain student schedules in PowerSchool
- Enter student schedules into PowerSchool, print, and distribute. Ensure all students are enrolled in the correct number of classes to be considered “full-time” students and have adequate instructional minutes/hours per the Arizona Department of Education.
- Ensure all grades are posted in PowerSchool each quarter. Print report cards and disseminate them as necessary
School Operations
- Be prepared to assist with other duties as assigned.
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and manage shifting priorities.
- Assist with school functions and events as needed.

Other:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in PowerSchool (or comparable Student Information System) preferred;
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
- Professional and friendly disposition
- Three (3) years of experience working in a school setting using the student management system PowerSchool
