Qualifications:
1. Potential candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a non-teaching-based area and have a Level 1 IVP fingerprint card at the time of offer to complete the hiring process. Additionally, secondary candidates must have skills and knowledge related to the content area for which they are applying to teach. To demonstrate this, applicants for our Secondary Education program must satisfy one of the following conditions related to the direct content area for which they are applying prior to being selected for the program:
2. Program candidates must follow a 199-day work calendar and must be available for the entirety of the extended calendar. Work days are 7/2/25- 5/22/26.
3. Program completion results in a GPS Institutional Recommendation for a teaching certificate in the State of Arizona only, not transferable to other states.
4. Program participants will be asked to make a two-year commitment to GPS working as a teacher beyond program completion, with the goal of GPS building a relationship with each teacher that spans their whole career.
