Essential Functions:
Must advise, coordinate and support the sport staff with the athletic director and principal. To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the students shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence.
Stipend Range: $3,500 - $4,179 DOE
Qualifications: Valid Arizona Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required. Employment as a teacher at the Catalina Foothills School District preferred. Must have ability to organize and supervise a total sports program. Should possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must have a current IVP fingerprint clearance card without restrictions. Must have a current Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record and be willing & able to drive a district vehicle (SUV or mini-bus) to games and serve as the supervising adult.
