Job Description:
Resource Teacher provides quality instruction through planned lessons, diagnosing learning needs, creating and leading engaging learning activities, utilizing assessments to monitor student progress, and communicating with administration and parents. Creating a flexible classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed.
Works with general education teachers to provide the best experience for each student's educational needs.
Attends IEP meetings as needed.
SALARY: $50,000 - $81,950. First year teacher can earn $53,000 with Performance Pay ($3,000.00 approx.), which is earned and paid the same year. Special Education teachers also receive an additional $3,000 stipend for holding a Standard Professional or Alternative Pathways Special Education Teaching Certificate.
