Special Education Early Childhood Teacher

SUMMARY:

Special Education Early Childhood Teacher - Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MIN REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER:

• Arizona Special Education Certificate K-12 - CCS with Early Childhood Endorsement

OR

• Arizona Special Education Certificate K-12 - Mild-Moderate with Early Childhood Endorsement

OR

• Arizona Early Childhood Special Education, Birth through Grade 3 Certificate

AND

• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

• Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
• Location: Banks Elementary School - Bopp & Kinney Area
• FTE: 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
• Work Calendar: 9.5 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

New Teachers to the District may be eligible for a one-time recruitment stipend (up to $5,000).

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
