Job Description:
Preference given to Nationally Certified School Psychologists.
To function as a school psychologist in the public schools of Yavapai County as directed by the Yavapai County School Superintendent or designee. The duties shall include serving multiple schools and traveling frequently between such schools.

Major Duties, Responsibilities:
- Administer extensive psycho-educational evaluations for all students referred, and compile data into complete psycho-educational report with timely submission to the school.
- Participate in conferences with school staff members and parents relative to test findings and their interpretation.
- Attend MET/ I.E.P. conferences and make appropriate recommendations. Comply with all IDEA regulations and Arizona Revised Statutes §15-765 to §15-767.
- Utilize data-based decision making; engage in consultation and collaboration; consult on academic interventions and instructional supports.
- Provide within scope of practice mental and behavioral health support and interventions; consult on school-wide practices to promote learning; address services to promote safe and supportive schools.
- Emphasize collaboration among family, school, and community; promote equitable practices for diverse student populations.
- Utilize research and evidence-based practice; and align with legal, ethical, and professional practice.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Other:
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Masters Degree in School Psychology.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a psychologist in a public-school setting.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must be certified by the Arizona Department of Education.
