Job Description:

General Statement of Responsibilities: 

Provide school solutions team support to improve principal, coach, and teacher effectiveness for improved student achievement. Additionally, the position will develop and manage the district-wide curriculum and assessment plan.
 

 Responsibilities & Duties:

 Design and manage alignment and implementation of district curriculum, resources, and assessment 

  1. Collaboratively monitor and support District’s instructional programs with Educational Services Coordinator and Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator

  2. Coordinate internal facilitators and external contracted facilitators to ensure support of district mission, vision, and strategic goals

  3. Continually evaluate district-wide data and school-wide data to guide continuous academic improvement

  4. Partner with school principals to target school improvement needs and root causes for obstacles to student learning 

  5. Lead district solutions team to support principals and coaches in solving school grade-level and teacher-specific learning challenges

  6. Prepare and deliver high quality professional learning, both orally and in writing to administrators, instructional coaches, and educators within the district

  7. Develop principal and instructional coach effectiveness

  8. Co-evaluate instructional coaches with principals

  9. Compile program reports for the administrative team and Governing Board as needed

  10. Provide leadership for specific Educational Services programs as assigned

  11. Other related duties as assigned
     

 Qualifications & Experience:

 Master’s Degree in related field

  1. Three years experience as a school or district-level administrator. District-level curriculum and instruction preferred

  2. A minimum of three years successful instructional coaching or principal coaching experience

  3. Teaching and/or coaching expertise in multiple grades and content areas

  4. Competency in facilitating adult learning

  5. Evidence of ability to effectively use technology to perform duties

  6. Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with site administrators, instructional coaches, and teachers.

  7. Excellent communication skills

  8. Good organizational skills and the ability to understand and carry out assigned work with minimal supervision

  9. Valid Arizona teaching/Educational Leadership certificate

  10. Valid fingerprint clearance card

  11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate

 Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such pertinent to the Educational Services Department.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several variables in a multitude of situations.
