Job Description:

NSAA Campus has 2 public charter schools serving a diverse population of sixth through twelfth grade across the Valley. Faculty are expected to be accountable for their teaching practices and following the state and school guidelines in professional teaching practices. Check our website www.aznsaa.com

  • Follow ADE and NSAA professional teaching requirements;

  • Develop lesson plans that ensure the attainment of state learning standards and the additional specific grade-­by-­grade learning standards set forth in the charter;

  • Provide direct and indirect instruction, provide an inviting, exciting, innovative, learning environment;

  • Prepare students adequately for all required assessments;

  • Effectively evaluate students’ progress and be accountable for growth;

  • Provide data of individual student achievement;

  • Collaborate with colleagues; 

  • Engage in effective and appropriate classroom management;

  • Provide clinics, workshops, field trips and other extended activities for application of knowledge;

  • Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff;

  • Serve as an advisor to a students, including organizing advisory groups, overseeing the academic and behavioral progress;

  • Attend IEP and Student Study Team meetings and provide accommodations for students with special needs without question and follow all state and federal requirements regarding accommodations;

  • Complete 45 day screenings and other administrative requests in a timely fashion;

  • Provide Administration with required documentation for grade reporting according to due dates;

  • Consistently hold office hours;

  • Keep website, grades and/or calendar current;

  • Attend professional development;

  • Administer and grade district benchmark exams;

  • Communicate with parent when a student is earning a D or below;

  • Keep accurate records of attendance.





Other:

All Teacher/Faculty Qualifications

1. Hold Bachelor degree and Pass the state teacher certification exam in the content area and Professional Teaching Standards.

2. Hold Master or higher degree in the content area and pass the certification exam in Professional Teaching Standards.

or

3. Hold current AZ or reciprocal teaching certificate

Teachers are responsible for keeping finger print clearance cards and certification and endorsements current to avoid unpaid administrative leave.
