Hiring Teachers- Resource (Push-in and Pull-out) for 2025-2026 SY in K-6 Schools, K-8 Schools and 7-8 Middle School settings. Join us at one of our monthly job fairs to learn more about specific programs.

TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Under general direction, incumbent(s) provides quality instruction through planned lessons, diagnosing learning needs, creating and leading engaging learning activities, utilizing assessments to monitor student progress, and communicating with general education teachers to modify lessons. Communicating with  administration and parents.  Creating a flexible classroom environment favorable to individual learning styles and personal growth to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed.

WESD offers a wide-range of Special Education Programs to meet the needs to the students. We provide six special education coaches to support our special education teachers. These coaches are in addition to the Instructional Coach at the school site and mentors through our three-year teacher induction program (BEGIN).

Requirements: Special Education Teaching Certificate or join the WESD’s FREE Special Education Teacher Certification program, approved by the Arizona Department of Education. Minimum requirement Bachelor's Degree (any area). Call 602-347-2622.

Salary range is $53,100 - $84,950. An additional $3,000 stipend for Special Education Teachers who hold a Special Education Certificate and approximately $3,100 for Performance Pay.
