Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Lead for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Adaptive Physical Education will provide support as a related service provider in the educational setting, using problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, organizational and time management skills, as well as a strong grasp of managing a budget in the public-school setting. Additionally, the Lead provides guidance to the OT, PT, APE staff in the provision of educationally related therapy services to students and serves as a liaison between therapist staff, schools, and the exceptional educational department and leadership team. The Lead assigns and manages caseloads for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Adaptive PE teachers and will oversee evaluation materials and equipment for these teams.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Related Field
Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Current Arizona Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy License
Five years experience working as an OT or PT in an educational setting
Knowledge of special education state policy and federal law
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Three years of experience in a large urban school district
Three or more years of experience leading a team
Experience with delivering professional development and managing a budget
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees
Must release Social Security Number to be eligible for AHCCS-Provider ID Number.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
