Job Description:

Seeking a full-time, 6th-8th grade, Arizona certified special education teacher who:

• Is knowledgeable and able to implement federal, state and local policies and procedures related to special education.
• Prepares for and facilitates all annual IEP meetings and attends Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team meetings which include scheduling, drafting required documents, coordinating services with all providers and families, and meeting compliance timelines. 
• Uses data to drive instructional, behavioral and/or social emotional learning practices for assigned students while maintaining evidence of student progress.
• Plans for and uses appropriate evidence-based learning strategies, materials, technology, and equipment to support student academic and functional outcomes. 
• Works effectively as a team member with strong communication and organization skills to identify the needs of students using a problem-solving approach when needed.
• Performs various administrative activities (ie: attends campus faculty meetings, campus and regional professional development, orders equipment and supplies as needed, copies and files materials, coordinates department needs/activities with related service providers and paraprofessionals).

Pay: $45,000- $57,000 per year (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: 8 hour shift including any additional professional responsibilities required as outlined in the employee handbook. 

Work Location: In person
