Job Description:

Fine Arts Teacher - OMA Arts Integration Specialist

SUMMARY

Collaborate with Classroom Teacher regarding student progress and coordinating Arts Integration services.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Valid Arizona Teaching Certification in elementary or secondary education with an endorsement in Art or Music

OR

An AZ Standard Professional Arts Education Certification in Art or Music

 

Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

 

Experience with one or more of the arts disciplines (music, drama, dance, visual arts)

 

Experience with integration of the art form(s) with tested curricular subjects.

 

Knowledge of the Arizona State Standards for the Arts

 

Knowledge of the National Arts Standards, current brain-based learning research, and multiple/alternative assessment methods.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

ESL Endorsement or Bilingual Spanish Endorsement

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

 

COMMENTS

Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

LOCATION: Gale Elementary School  - Broadway & Camino Seco Area

FTE : 1.0- 7.5 hours per day

Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Music or Art

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. 

 

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage. 

  

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
