JOB DESCRIPTION: To work closely with the principal and directly with classroom teachers by modeling effective teaching strategies, guiding instructional delivery to support research-based strategies into classroom practice, and raising student achievement as measured by District and State Assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS: Arizona Elementary Teacher Certificate. Prior experience in K-8 instruction with a proven track record of instructing and meeting the needs of all learners in the core academic content areas. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of scientifically research-based instruction along with intervention programs to assist staff with effective use of these programs. Possess effective communication, organization, and presentation skills.Â

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to the education process by understanding the purpose and specifics of academic programs and supplemental and intervention programs to serve as a guide to the site staff to effectively use these programs.
Collaborate with classroom teachers by providing in-class support through modeling direct, explicit, systematic instruction, team teaching, and/or observing.
Observe and monitor instruction and provide teachers with feedback.
Mentor and assist teachers in development of effective research-based strategies in academic content.
Assist the principal and teachers in conducting student assessments and monitoring student progress by understanding, analyzing, and interpreting assessment data, both formal and informal, to inform and support instructional decisions, based on analysis of various types of data.
Support the site-level professional development plan through facilitation, participation, and implementation of staff development at grade level team and staff meetings and to apply knowledge of adult-learning theory.
Participate as an essential contributing member of the Site Leadership Team.
Develop, implement, and maintain a log documenting the support services provided to classroom teachers.
Assist the principal in planning of school-wide instructional/achievement goals and meet and collaborate regularly with the site principal regarding progress of the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
Coordinate the ongoing assessment schedule; supervise the assessment team in conducting the various assessments, and maintain quarterly growth records by teacher, grade level, and school.
Continue to grow professionally through appropriate staff development opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is an in-person position.
