Summary

We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team at Imagine Schools Camelback. In this role, you will inspire students through music education, fostering their creativity and love for the arts while contributing to their overall character development and academic success.

Responsibilities

The music teacher is responsible for providing music education to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The role typically involves:

• Teaching Music Fundamentals: This includes introducing students to basic music theory, rhythm, melody, and song structures.
• Instrumental and Vocal Instruction: Depending on the school, you may teach students how to play instruments like recorders, xylophones, or ukuleles and lead vocal exercises or choir sessions.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive, engaging classroom environment is key, as elementary students can be energetic and sometimes need guidance to stay focused.
• Music Appreciation: Exposing students to different genres of music and famous composers from various cultures and time periods.
• Performance Opportunities: Organizing school concerts, recitals, or talent shows to showcase students' learning.
• Assessment and Progress Tracking: Evaluating student progress and providing feedback on their musical development.

Essential Qualifications:

• Mastery of and enthusiasm for music education;
• Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance;
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills;
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree;
• Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.
