Title:    Teacher

Duties:

• Implements and plans instructional activities to meet the needs of special education elementary students.
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding individual student needs and progress.
• Provides a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities including cultural resources of the origin language.
• Provides and demonstrate feedback and gains in the performance of students.
• Assigns and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
• Ensures professional growth and student growth.
• Uses relevant technology to support instruction.
• Supports and exhibit SUSD Values.
• Keeps up with the latest developments in subject areas, teaching resources, and methods.
• Making relevant changes to instructional plans and activities if needed.
• Meets professional standards through constructive habits such as: participating in extra-curricular activities, meeting deadlines, applying appropriate disciplinary measures where appropriate, coordinating, and managing student behavior in the classroom.
• Keeps accurate and up to date with records required by laws, district policies and school regulations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related. Possess Arizona Department of Education Teacher Certification. Possess a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
