School Year: 2025-26 K-1-2 Combination Teacher
McNeal Elementary is strongly committed to providing high-quality and well-rounded educational experiences for all our students. Due to the small student enrollment teachers teach combination classes to accommodate student enrollment at multiple grade levels. This is a common occurrence with small school districts. Currently, McNeal has 3 class bands, (K -2, 3 -5 and 6-8). Class size ranges between 10-15 students per combination, total school population varies yearly from 30 - 45 students.

Position Description: This is a unique opportunity to work with a small K-1-2 grade combination class. The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their potential in their cognitive, emotional, physical, and language growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing the instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Arizona State School standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
• Completes ongoing assessments of students in their cognitive, emotional, physical, and language growth through standard checklists, observation, and other means of informal assessment.
• Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
• Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
• Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
• Reports concerns/issues to administration in a timely manner
• Manages student behaviors
• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, and subject area
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and other staff.
• Participates in staff training, in-services, and meetings, as well as school family events throughout the school year.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by administration.
All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals established as part of the annual staff evaluation process.

Working Conditions:
• Physical Ability: Tasks may involve extended periods of time standing and/or walking, bending, sitting on the floor, light lifting (up to 30LBs), aid students that require special assistance.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES/CLEARANCES:
Bachelor’s Degree in the area of assignment or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimumrequirements.
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
Appropriately certified in content area
Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification (Preferred)
Criminal Justice/Fingerprint clearance
Terms: 4 Day school week - Mon-Thur. 8:00am - 3:00pm
146-day contract; medical, dental, vision, life benefits; 10 sick days and 2 personal days; mandatory participation in Arizona State Retirement System.
SALARY: $40,000 - $54,750 (depending on education and experience); + additional monies of $10,000, dependent on student population, if performance pay criteria is met
