TITLE: Site Administrator FLSA: Exempt
SERVICE: Unclassified REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent
203 Day contract (4 day School Week)
SALARY: Based on experience range: $61,000 to $73,100
Position Overview: The Site Administrator works with the Associate Superintendent in carrying out the school’s academic and behavior programs. As a professional educator Site Administrator understands and responds to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. The Site Administrator provides proactive leadership to engage all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to support the students’ academic achievement, personal and social development. The Site Administrator works cooperatively with the administrator, staff, students and parents towards a positive school climate. The Site Administrator demonstrates a commitment to strengthening community engagement and communication with the District’s unique population.
Position Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Education, Secondary Education or closely related field; Arizona teaching and Principal certificate and Five (5) years of relevant, progressively responsible administration, instructional or closely related experience. Ability to support and value the efforts of the ongoing programs. Skills and ability to serve as an educational leader including the ability to plan, organize and facilitate meetings, planning processes, and community projects and events.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The Site Administrator works with a high level of independence and professional discretion under the general supervision of the administrator. The work is governed, controlled, and evaluated by acceptable professional practice, school and district policies and regulations, provisions of Arizona Administrative Code and Revised statues, direction of the administrator, and performance standards and expectations as set forth by the school board.

1. Serves as a resource for building staff, administrators, and parents in working with students, creating a positive school climate, and helping students develop a positive self-concept. Skill in human relations which demonstrates sensitivity to needs and concerns of others.
2. Develops Individual learning plans that are focused on identifying and meeting individual abilities; Identifies, recommends and develops general to specialized curriculum and related educational programs; education and career action plans
3. Participates or leads development of positive behavior support systems and development of intervention strategies. Motivates students in a positive direction which will help students to increase individual decision making responsibilities.
4. Demonstrates ability to work successfully and positively with all students to provide them with assistance in meeting their educational needs. Interviews students prior to enrollment.
5. Coordinates, facilitates and implements disciplinary intervention steps and processes with staff, working closely with the administrator. Facilitates out of school student discipline as needed or assigned by administration.
6. Coordinates, facilitates and implements attendance intervention steps, including but not limited to holding attendance conferences, making home visits, and preparing intervention paperwork. Contacts students and parents to discuss attendance irregularities. Coordinates attendance conferences and refers students to the administration in cases of absences at or beyond twelve days.
7. Coordinates implementation of parent involvement as well as school sponsored events. Assists with school-wide and event supervision.
8. Fulfills the requirements of the district/school testing coordinator
9. Evaluates job performance of personnel to ensure optimum effectiveness. Develops training options and/or improvement plans to ensure exemplary business operations.
10. Participates in cross-training for all positions in the office in order to allow for vacation or sick leave coverage for other team members.
11. Submit reports to ADE and SFB (SDER, TEI, ADM, SPED, Transportation)
12. Oversees the collecting and reporting of school enrollment data as required by state and federal regulations and board policy.
13. Maintains a risk management program and recommends safety guidelines for staff and students.
14. Assists the Board as required and attends all Board Meetings.
15. Oversee facility and transportation maintenance, repair and maintainall facilities/vehicles belonging to NCAD and NCESA.
16. Oversees school-wide emergency preparedness team meetings and implementation efforts
17. Demonstrates ability to communicate orally and in writing with clarity and conciseness.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
Expectations:
1. Employee is expected to perform all above essential job functions in a professional, competent, accurate, and dependable manner with 100% accuracy within the prescribed time frames.
2. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other NCESA/NCAD staff members, probation staff, students, families, county finance office staff and other state or federal agencies.
