JOB GOAL:
Supports all receiving activities and pick-ups/deliveries throughout the district; assists with physical inventory. Maintains adequate warehouse stocking levels and conducts warehouse stock inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Arizona driver's license
  • Possess or ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Ability to multitask on a daily basis
  • Must possess organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to compose reports or documents dealing with inventory
  • Familiarity with computerized inventory control systems
  • Willingness to attend training when necessary
  • Experience in maintaining warehouse stock preferred
  • Must obtain an Arizona IVP Clearance Card

 


TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 days; 12 months
REPORTS TO: Director of Business Services
HOURS: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m. or 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

 

  1. Receives shipments of materials and compares items against purchase orders to detect errors or omissions
  2. Processes orders and delivers to all sites in a reasonable amount of time per delivery schedule
  3. Keeps warehouse neat and orderly, maintaining stock levels as required
  4. Operates forklift
  5. Maintains appropriate records of incoming and outgoing items for accounting internal control; Assigns property control numbers (tags) for equipment purchased by the District prior to shipment to appropriate site
  6. Assists in the equipment/asset inventories for the District, possibly including the preparation of preliminary paperwork prior to actual inventory, performance of physical inventory itself, research of inventory errors prior to finalization of inventory reports; Requisitions all items necessary to maintain district warehouse level
  7. Receives and distributes incoming mail and stamps; meters postage as necessary and posts outgoing mail and packages
  8. Processes and delivers to all sites in a reasonable amount of time per delivery schedule; Enters all warehouse orders, receiving and posts to the General Ledger.
  9. Job responsibilities include areas where considerable financial liability could occur and where considerable attention to detail, work methods or procedures must be employed to prevent
  10. Many of the job’s duties are not covered by specific procedures and decision making and problem solving will come into play.; Performs other duties as assigned
