Job Description:
Position begins in January 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Maintain accurate student records for reporting to the Arizona Department of Education to ensure accurate state funding.
Confirm accuracy with PowerSchool data exchange components and AzEds. Reconcile and problem-solve accordingly.
Generate 45-day screeners for all new students.
Complete compliance reports for school funding accurately.
Conduct Internal Audit of student attendance records and student cumulative files for accuracy and completeness.
Administration of Student Information System.
Provide support to staff on the schools’ Student Information System Audit state reporting for accuracy.
Work and support the annual school audit.
Managing ADE/ ADE Connect work roles for Horizon Employees.
Works closely with Registrar, Director of Communications, Executive Director, and Finance to support the Enrollment Team and ensure school funding from the state.
Works closely with department Directors to ensure proper reporting of programs to AzEDS including SPED, ELL, amd McKinney-Vento.
Assist schools in configuring schedules, attendance calculator, and
attendance set up.
Attend appropriate workshops, trainings, webinars, etc. to ensure Horizon Honors policies and practices are current and in compliance.
Oversees Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC).
Support registrar with student enrollment processing.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience/background working at a database administration level with Student Information Systems. PowerSchool preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite Applications.
REPORTS TO: Finance Director/ Executive Director
JOB GOAL:
To provide for the accurate daily accounting functions in the school finance office using GAAP compliance methods in accordance with school policy and Arizona state law.
