Position Summary
Dateland School, a small rural public school in the Hyder School District, is seeking a full-time Elementary
Teacher for a combined Grades 1 & 2 classroom for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for
educators who value small class sizes, close community relationships, and the rewards of rural teaching.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach a combined Grades 1 & 2 classroom aligned with Arizona Academic Standards
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with staff and participate in professional development and school activities
Qualifications
• Valid Arizona Elementary Education Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Ability to manage a multi-grade classroom
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
