Job Description:
Franklin Phonetic School is a free public Charter School founded in 1996 by three career teachers including an internationally known music composer. We focus on the arts and are known in the area for our music program. The applicant for this position will be responsible for teaching brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments to students in grades 4-8.
The responsibilities for this job include teaching and planning for 3 bands: beginning band, intermediate band, and concert band. The position also includes assisting students with solo/ensemble preparation and parade practice/participation as well as at least two concerts per school year.
Additional classes, such as guitar, music theory, or other junior high level classes might be added to this position to make it a full time position. If this becomes a full time position, the pay will be a salary between $35,000 - $60,000 based on experience and education.
