Job Description:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   FLSA:  Exempt

Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. To assist the principal in setting the tone of the school and in directing and supervising the high school program; to use leadership skills in the promoting of the educational development of each student; and to make the school an attractive, pleasant, and productive place in which to work and learn.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • Supports CCUSD vision, mission and goals.
  • Models and exemplifies professional communication with students, parents, staff and community.
  • Assists with curriculum alignment, instructional strategies and implementation.
  • Establishes goals and objects based upon analysis of student achievement data
  • Oversees development of master schedule
  • Evaluates and supervises faculty and staff as assigned by the principal.
  • Functions as the school leader for Exceptional Student Services
  • Plans and participates in professional growth activities.
  • Implements all school board policies and procedures
  • Organizes and implements school, district, and state assessments.
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the principal.                              

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Arizona Teaching Certificate and an appropriate Arizona Administrative Certificate.
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution approved by the Governing Board.
  • At least three (3) years’ successful teaching experience, or such alternatives as the Governing Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
