QUALIFICATIONS
- State of Arizona Standard Professional Elementary K-8 teaching certificate
- Five (5) years of teaching experience at the K-8 school level
- Have knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies.
DESIRED
- Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership/Administration.
- Reading Specialist
- Coaching experience
- Experience with analyzing data

- Strong leadership and management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents, and community members.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and within many areas of responsibility at one time.
- Skill in operating office equipment and working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Google
- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level.
- Ability to understand and maintain students' and parents' rights to confidentiality and not violate those rights; nor discuss students in inappropriate places or with anyone not in direct contact with such individual students.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that assessment data is communicated to teachers in a timely manner.
- Serve as an on-site coordinator, working with site personnel to facilitate administration of assessments.
- Regularly monitor assessment and intervention administration for integrity.
- Coach, facilitate and collaborate with classroom teachers on core instructional strategies for standard based instruction and any ongoing class wide interventions or individual interventions.
- Collect and monitor student achievement data.
- Review assessment data regularly with principals and make recommendations for instructional implications and/or remediation plans.
- Meet with grade level teachers to monitor student achievement.
- Attend regularly scheduled Instructional Coach meetings at the District Office.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Instructional Coach reports to the Director of Curriculum/Associate Director of Curriculum. The Instructional Coach will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.
