BASIS Phoenix North is seeking qualified candidates for an IT & Facilities Coordinator to start ASAP!
Position Overview
The IT & Facilities Coordinator provides frontline technical support to students, faculty, and staff in a school environment. This role focuses on resolving Tier 1 issues, supporting classroom technology, and maintaining endpoint devices across a mixed fleet of Chromebooks, Windows 11 systems, and mobile tablets. For the facilities side, this position keeps the school or district running smoothly by managing building operations, maintenance requests, and vendor scheduling. The IT & Facilities Coordinator will act as the central point of contact for repairs, safety issues, and space management, ensuring that all facilities are safe, functional, and ready for daily use.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 support for end-user devices, including:
Chromebooks (Google Admin-managed)
Windows 11 laptops/desktops (Intune-managed)
Tablets and mobile devices (iOS / Android)
Deliver classroom and help desk support for:
Student and teacher device issues
Wi-Fi connectivity and authentication (802.1X)
Printing (Windows Print Server, Universal Print, UniFlow)
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and account-related issues with a focus on rapid resolution and minimal classroom disruption
Perform device provisioning and lifecycle management:
Enrollment / Windows Imaging (Intune, Google Admin)
Asset tagging and inventory updates
Assist with network-related troubleshooting:
Wireless connectivity in high-density environments
Basic switching and VLAN awareness
End-user issues related to DNS filtering and content access
Support classroom and campus technology:
Projectors and displays (Epson, interactive panels)
Digital signage platforms (USB, Yodeck, UniFi Connect)
Basic VoIP troubleshooting (Switchvox, SIP devices)
Paging/intercom endpoints
Maintain accurate documentation:
Ticket updates and resolution notes
Knowledge base articles and end-user guides
Inventory and asset tracking
Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/engineering teams with proper documentation and completed troubleshooting steps

Ability to prioritize and multitask during high-demand periods (e.g., testing, start-of-year)
Analytical troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail

Foundational understanding of K–12 security best practices
Education and Experience Requirements
Required
Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
1–3 years of IT support experience (help desk or field support)
Experience supporting at least one of the following:
Windows 10/11 environments
Chromebooks / Google Admin
Mobile device management platforms (Intune or equivalent)
Experience in K–12 or education environments Preferred
Core Technical Skills
Microsoft 365 / Entra ID fundamentals
Google Workspace / Google Admin Console
Windows 11 support and troubleshooting
Basic networking (Wi-Fi troubleshooting, IP addressing, DNS fundamentals)
Device management (Intune, Autopilot, or equivalent)
Printer hardware/software support (network and cloud printing)
Facilities
Perform and or coordinate with vendors basic maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, safety systems)
Respond to campus requests for:
Maintenance and custodial support
Furniture moves and room setups
Equipment needs and HVAC adjustments
Coordinate with third-party vendors (HVAC, custodial, landscaping, pest control, etc.)
Ensure campus grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained
Track and manage work orders, maintenance logs, and vendor documentation
Support school events with setup, teardown, and technical needs
Act as the Campus Safety Coordinator, including:
Emergency response readiness
Traffic flow management
Safety procedure enforcement
Maintain and support the campus Emergency Preparedness Program
Assist the Head of Operations with additional projects and initiatives
